CHIANG_wordpressHello, I am an assistant professor, in the Department of Architecture, at the National Cheng Kung University. My name is CHIANG Yu-Chou. My major research interest is investigating the interrelation between structural design, form-finding, and digital fabrication. During my bachelor’s and master’s studies in engineering, I had learned many materially efficient forms, which were too complicated to be crafted in the physical world. However, the popularizing CNC machines are capable of bringing those elegant shapes into reality. On this site, I am archiving the education, design, engineering, and research works I was involved in. At the same time, I am documenting my research on discovering elegant structures and my endeavor to physically construct them.
